Private events are useful when there are many event guests who are not connected with each other on social media but want to share their event photos with one-another AND keep their images private and protected.
A unique feature to MinglePic is the ability for event guests to share photos and videos in private events.
A private event is an event that cannot be accessed without being successfully authenticated.
During the beta period, private events will be activated with a password. The password is set by the author when they create a private event.
To create a Private post is easy, all you need to do is to Switch on the “Make This Post Private” switch when you create a new MinglePic. You will be asked to select a password, or you can use the random password generated by MinglePic.
If you want to view or contribute to a private MinglePic event you need the password from the event author. If the author shared the private MinglePic event with you via the app it would have included the password in the original message.

Private Event Lock
- Users can lock an event that can only be unlocked by means of a password.
- A password is a custom alpha-numeric code specified by the user when they create a new MinglePic.
- Locked events only show on a user’s feed that are within a ~15 mile radius and can only be unlocked by means of the password.
- Users can share a locked event with other users but it will remain locked until the user enters the password.
- A user that fails to unlock a locked post more than 3 times sequentially will be unable to unlock ANY locked MinglePic posts at intervals of 15, 30, 60 and 120 minutes thereafter.
User conduct and safety
- Posts, photos, and videos can be reported if they are deemed abusive, invasive, contains violence or contain nudity of any sort.
- If deemed inappropriate by MinglePic; the post, photo or video will be removed without warning.
- In certain cases; a user’s account will be blocked if their comments, post, video or photographic material is deemed to cause harm or trauma to other users.
- Bullying and illegal activities will be reported and the user’s account will be blocked and potentially suspended indefinitely.
